Measuring principle

When the magnetostrictive liquid level transmitter is working, the trigger circuit of the transmitter partially excites the pulse current, which travels along the magnetostrictive telescopic line to generate a pulsed current magnetic field.

The sensor rod of the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge is equipped with a magnetic float, which moves along the measuring rod with the change of the level.

A permanent magnetic ring is installed inside the float, and when the pulsed current magnetic field meets the magnetic field of the floating magnetic ring, the magnetic field around the float changes so that the magnetic telescopic line produces a torsional wave pulse at the position where the float stays, which is transmitted back to the transmitter at a fixed speed along the magnetic telescopic line and checked out by the detection circuit.

Calculating the time difference between the pulse current and the torsional wave pulse through the central processor can accurately determine the position of the float, that is the position of the liquid surface.

The transmitter analog to electricity conversion circuit outputs 4~20mA signal or RS485 MODBUS signal, that realizing the purpose of remote transmission of the level signal.
